Accumulation of the crime scene of defense errors
Defense attorneys in South Carolina continued the double homicide case of attorney Alex Murdaugh on Monday as state agents gathered and analyzed evidence in the murders of Murdaugh’s wife and son.
During the first three days of testimony, prosecutors called mostly crime scene officers and technicians to present evidence to the jury that investigators would later explain in detail. They described their case as a puzzle in opening statements last week.
However, when cross-examining witnesses, defense attorneys ask questions that suggest the metaphorical pieces aren’t clear or that prosecutors aren’t leaving them all on the table.
