Update from yesterday: Friends of the Murdaugh family appeared for the first time Wednesday in the double-murder case of disbarred attorney Alex Murdaugh.
They told the jury that Alex was with his wife and son, Maggie and Paul Murdaugh, before their bodies were found on the family property in June 2021.
Shortly before his murder, Paul Murdaugh recorded a video of his friend Rogan Gibson.
Paul had been watching Gibson’s dog and sent him a video when he noticed something was wrong with his tail.

Prosecutors believe they are Paul, Maggie and Alex Murdaugh, all of whom were at the crime scene moments before the murders.
Gibson testified that he also believed the voices were Alex, Maggie and Paul.
But Alex previously told investigators that he was sleeping at the time and hadn’t seen Paul or Maggie since dinner.
When pressed on the issue, Gibson noted that neither Maggie nor Paul were stressed in the video.
Gibson said he met with the Murdaugh family a few days after the murders and said he believed he heard Alex in the video. Gibson said Alex was in the room at the time and did not react to the statement.
